Initial service was fast and helpful plus value seemed good.
When the food came out though the fish and chips (normal & sweet potato) were over cooked and everything had way way too much salt, and we like salt!
Let the ladies at the front counter know and they said would talk to the kitchen but no other assistance offered? They couldn't even be bothered to take a look at the food they served.
We tried to continue eating our meals but couldn't finish due to the taste, and in hindsight shouldn't have even started (we were really hungry).
Took our plates to the counter when we left and calmly voiced our disappointment again.
They were apologetic and nice enough but could have offered something? Cook something else for us? A dessert or coffee? Anything?
At the very least it would have given them the chance to make us feel OK about the situation. No, they just let us walk out frustrated, unsatisfied and with $50 less in the wallet.
Thankfully, there are too many other fish and chip shops to ever have to go back to this one.
Food and service experience - VERY POOR!
